Resting after rescuing the captured miners from the Choke, the travellers planned the revolution and bribed a cleaner to leave the doors open to the turret areas of the starport. They moved quickly, taking the first turret with ease and then having to keep a low profile as "cleaners" in the security area with Varl and Zhorp even managing to palm some stun grenades from the guards. As the revolution began in earnest, Varl and Zhorp took out the guards with stun grenades and fought off two returning guards. When the hoard of rioting miners invaded the security section, they were persuasive enough to ensure the starport control room was opened up and the travellers took control. Director Tli of the Highport sent two shuttles of security guards to help quell the riots, but with Zhil and Kaelan now in control of the missile turrets the ships were doomed.

Next, their attention turned to the highport, threatening Director Tli with destruction if she didn't surrender and leave, but she was reticent and offered instead to remain neutral. With a 10 minute countdown begun for a showdown, the travellers manned the Black Swan to join their comrades in orbit above Acrid. The far traders, lead by Chorokio and the Black Swan fired missiles at the SDB at the edge of their sensor range, but a barrage of missiles from Venture City only narrowly missed the Queen's Gambit as Enbo the hotshot pilot dodged the deadly hail. It soon became clear that this would be no easy fight ...
