Onboard the Treasure Ship

Hot on the trail of the downed treasure ship, the band of pirates hunted down the planned route and happened across Hroal Irontooth and his fleet in Exe, who claimed to have an inside track on what was going down. They had two men on the inside, Salvesdes the marine and Pilot Henshaw, who were planning to jump the treasure ship into Hroal's clutches instead of its normal course, and Hroal offered them 10% if they helped, but the pirates countered with just the ship itself if they could get Hroal into the vault.

Heading to Arunisiir, they found the ship in a sorrowful state, the jump drive thoroughly damaged. There were some interesting meetings in the Five Aces bar, including the crew of the Queen's Gambit, and they managed to slip a naval ID from a drunken gunner, which Bogburp soon spun out into two convincing fake IDs for Halfnir "Tiny Smith" and Tex "Dick Biggsley". Kaelan and Jack Reece found work in the engine room repairing the ship, while Bogburp nearly got work as a medic.

Using Pilot Henshaw as their 'in', Tex and Halfnir got onboard the ship and soon discovered the huge layout of the treasure ship, hundreds of tons of cargo for the taking, and even saw the vault door. But when Halfnir tried to access the flight deck, he was confronted by a marine sophont, Astrogator Osha, and Halfnir took matters into his own hands and stabbed her to death, then slit her throat then dropped down with her body to the barracks. Alarmed faces began to enquire and Halfnir could only claim that a madman was on board, but would his story hold up without any supporting evidence and being drenched in blood ...?
