The Warehouse Raid

After paying 30k to the Iron Tide to have their newly acquired boat taken back to the Black Swan, and the gang picked up the prisoners from the Waterfront, the Colonel came to see them at the Rolling Barrel. He explained that a snitch within the Waterfront called Ratpack had made contact with them, which is how they had learned of the delivery of the briefcase earlier that day. He asked them to go and meet Ratpack at the Cove bar in the warehouse district later that night. He also agreed to deliver some explosives and a detonator the next morning.

The group also decided to scout out the potential ambush site they had planned and Zhil went with the Colonel by truck. Once Zhil had shown Thane where the bodies could be stashed for the false flag setup, Zhil and the Colonel had a falling out over each other's tone, and the Colonel swung for Zhil, but was soon grappled and Zhil had the Colonel in a painful headlock. The two drove back in silence.

The travellers went to meet Ratpack at the Cove and after a few misunderstandings, they stunned the hapless Ratpack and dragged him to a nearby alleyway and Zhil began torturing him by starting to cut off a finger. In terror, Ratpack awoke and pulled his pistol. In response Halfnir shot him in the head.

Later that night as the group slept, a huge explosion rocked the hotel and it appeared a bomb had gone off at the front. The group were wounded but managed to escape the hotels with their lives. The air raft had been stolen, and across the street was a figure hanging from the opposite building. It was Inador with a rat stuffed into his mouth.

Using Tex's comms skills, the tracker in the air raft was located at a warehouse down on the waterfront and the travellers set off in their boat. Halfnir was soon on the roof, hurling grenades at some swamphounds inside, while the rest climbed and scouted the building.
