The Chadaleau Gambit

Chasing their quarry down the service stairs, Halfnir leapt onto the hapless attacker and gutted him and after pocketing the comms they found, hurled his body down the stairwell. When the Star Guard began to approach, Tex and Halfnir hid in Pocuri's apartment. Meanwhile at the hospital, Zhil was still under the influence and Pocuri was rushed into surgery. Kaelan volunteered to return to pick up Halfnir and Tex unaware of the Star Guard's presence and soon found himself in a cell for Grand Theft Grav, and Zhil's antics soon earned him a cell nearby. Ernie bugged out and joined the others at the flat.

The next morning, it turned out that Pocuri had never made it out of surgery and had died on the table. Zhil was released after the drugs had worn off, and set about getting his crew member Kaelan released which he successfully did in short order. Then Zhil went over to the sickbay and when he couldn't get access to Pocuri's affects he resorted to taking a doctor prisoner after strangling her! The affects were uninspiring and a visit to the morgue revealed no new clues from her body.

The group was then contacted by a mysterious woman who claimed to have information but when Zhil met, she could tell him that Chadaleau was hiding out at his father's apartment. Known only as V she suggested that the group work with her to find justice for the family of Galapigny.

Zhil then hatched a plan to draw in Chadaleau to Galapigny's old apartment, which he did, but his bodyguard was following. Upon entry, Halfnir slammed the door behind the young student trapping him in the apartment. Zhil then tied the young noble to a chair and the bodyguard Querrek, upon hearing the struggle began to try to get the door open. Halfnir opened the door and the two confronted each other with Halfnir going to get a knife from the kitchen. Querrek tried to fire his stunner, but missed and the berserk Halfnir stabbed Querrek to death, hacked off his head and pinned it to the wall outside, witnessed by terrified residents!

Predictably, sirens could soon be heard outside and Halfnir with a prodigious feat of strength managed to scale two stories with the captured Chadaleau into a grav cart driven by Ernie. Zhil decided to wait for Star Guard with a video phone showing Chadaleau as hostage. When Lord Wrax himself arrived, things took a turn for the worse as the hard boiled Lord had Zhil dragged to a balconey on the edge of the floating city, and dangled over, kilometers above the planet below.
