Pirates of Drinax

After bargaining for his life and beginning to suspect that Lord Wrax might not be the villain he was painted as, Zhil spoke to Halfnir about releasing Chadaleau and after some wrangling the deal was made. Zhil was brought into a throne room and the whole group was asked to attend an audience with the king. When he arrived the king mooted the idea of a weregild to settle the harm done upon Lord Wrax's noble household and a total price of 6 million credits (MCr6) was eventually agreed, which kept Zhil and Halfnir out of prison. This was paid by surrendering the stolen terraforming data which the group had been planning to sell.

The king then announced that he wanted the travellers to be his privateers in the Reach and gave them a letter of marque to be kept secret for now. He offered them the Harrier, somewhat battered but a magnificent ship in any case. The only catch was a tithe of the takings. After some initial reservations, the travellers agreed to accept the offer. It was then with some surprise that they discovered that "Alice" was none other than Crown Princess Rao and the piracy plan was her idea.

The crew then took some well-earned downtime, after being paid half the fee by "Alice". They indulged their vices, bought a pet lizard, swapped a turret over in expert fashion, bought an assortment of weapons, armour and illegal digital equipment and software, started building a robot, healed from a laser burn in the hospital, researched ancient relics, bought a forgery kit and had a fight at an illegal cage arena. A well spent 6 days!
